FlexoDrive
Why Now — Key Trends in Overlanding
- Fixed dual battery systems are giving way to integrated, portable power systems
- Demand for AC output and multi-function use is rising — not just DC camp loads
- Buyers and installers want portability, faster install, and a shorter bill of material
- Retrofits and upgrades to existing vehicles and trailers are accelerating, not just new builds
Driving — Charge Without Thinking About It
- Lithium2400 is the only power station in the range that connects directly to your alternator — no converter, no extra hardware in between.
- Every other model — Lithium700, Lithium1200, Lithium3000 — charges from the alternator via the FlexoDrive DC-DC unit, fitted by a qualified installer
- Engine-off auto-sensing so your starter battery remains untouched when the engine is off.
Standing — Power That Doesn't Stop When You Do
- While standing use shore power or the FlexoSun solar panels to keep the battery topped up. Directly plug and play. No extra hardware in-between.
- AC and DC output — run fridges, lights, laptops, kettles, hair dryer, air fryer whatever the day needs
- Fully portable — the same unit moves between vehicles, trailers, camp, home, and the work site
- Replaceable battery — when it ages, replace the cell, not the unit
Always Working — Built for the Ecosystem, Built for the Long Haul
- Designed to work with FlexoSun (solar), FlexoLink (cables), and FlexoApp (BLE monitoring)
- Rugged build for African conditions — dust, heat, corrugated roads
Why FlexoDrive
FlexoDrive vs traditional Dual Battery
A portable power solution that works in the vehicle, at camp, and at home —
unlike traditional dual-battery systems that stay in the car.
| Conventional dual battery | FlexoDrive |
|---|---|
| Fixed to one vehicle | Portable between setups |
| Traditional, how its always done | Portable between Setups |
| DC charge of remote house battery only | Same DC charge, but Lithium battery, inverter, MPPT, USB, UPS etc. integrated |
| Only DC out. No inverter or MPPT included. Extra purchase. | Solar ready, shorepower ready, alternator ready. AC pure sine out, DC out up to 30A |
| Complex, expensive installation if MPPT and inverter separately purchased and installed | Less complex, faster and 20% cost saving +/- |
| High bill of material | Lower bill of material |
Fixed power is an installation. Portable power is an asset.

Common Questions
Does every Lithium unit charge directly from the alternator?
No. Direct alternator charging with no external DC-DC converter applies to the Lithium2400 only. Other compatible models may require the FlexoDrive DC-DC unit and qualified installation.
What is the difference between FlexoDrive and FlexoBase?
FlexoDrive is the portable charging approach, designed to move between setups. FlexoBase is a fixed install charging hub for permanent builds.
Can I use solar with FlexoCharge systems?
Yes, compatible FlexoCharge systems can be paired with FlexoSun panels and FlexoLink cables for solar charging.
Is FlexoBase sold online?
FlexoBase is an installer-only product and should be handled through the correct consultation or installer process.
