How to Use It
1. Position the panel
Place the FlexoSun 260W in direct sunlight and use the integrated supporting legs to angle it towards the sun. Reposition the panel during the day where practical and avoid partial shading, as even limited shade can significantly reduce output. Keep your vehicle or campsite in the shade where possible.
2. Connect it to a compatible power station
Use a compatible FlexoLink extension cable to connect the panel to a FlexoPower Lithium700, Lithium1200 or Lithium2400 power station.
The panel may also be used with a third-party power station that is solar-ready and accepts the panel’s electrical specifications. A separate solar charge controller is not required when connecting to the compatible FlexoPower Lithium power stations because they have built-in MPPT solar charge controllers.
3. Use it with a conventional battery system
The panel may also be connected to a correctly specified solar charge controller used with a conventional battery system. Never connect the panel directly to a battery.
Important: The panel price does not include a solar extension cable, solar charge controller or adaptors. The recommended cable is the FlexoLink 15m 6mm² low-voltage-drop solar extension cable.
4. Real-world output
Solar panel output varies according to sunlight, panel angle, temperature and weather conditions. Actual output will normally be lower than the laboratory-rated 260W.
Factors affecting output include:
• Strength of sunlight
• Time of year
• Geographic location
• Panel cleanliness
• Panel orientation and angle
• Solar-cell temperature — hotter cells generally produce less power
• Weather conditions and ambient temperature
Tip: When the connected battery is close to full or fully charged, the power station will reduce the amount of power drawn from the panel. A decrease in panel output under these conditions is normal and does not indicate a fault.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it need a separate charge controller?
No separate charge controller is required when the panel is connected to a compatible FlexoPower Lithium700, Lithium1200 or Lithium2400 power station. The power station’s built-in solar charge control manages the input automatically.
Connect the panel using a compatible FlexoLink cable. For a conventional battery system, the panel must be connected through a correctly specified solar charge controller. Never connect the panel directly to a battery.
The extension cable and any external charge controller are sold separately.
What is TOPCon solar cell technology?
TOPCon stands for Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact. It is a modern, high-efficiency solar-cell technology.
The FlexoSun 260W uses TOPCon cells with 25.8% cell efficiency, helping it provide 260W rated output in a compact, portable four-panel design.
Actual output depends on sunlight, panel angle, temperature and weather conditions.
What does the IP65 rating mean?
The FlexoSun 260W is IP65 rated, meaning it is dust-tight and protected against water jets, making it suitable for typical outdoor use during camping, overlanding and field work.
IP65 does not permit submersion. The panel must not be submerged in water.
How does the FlexoSun 260W compare to the FlexoSun 165W?
The FlexoSun 260W provides higher rated output and is better suited to greater daily energy needs, longer trips and larger compatible power stations.
The FlexoSun 165W is the more compact option and may be better where storage space, weight and lower daily energy needs are the main considerations.
The right choice depends on your power station’s solar-input limit, daily energy use and available storage space.
Which extension cable is recommended?
The recommended option is the FlexoLink 15m 6mm² low-voltage-drop solar extension cable with a compatible Anderson SB50 grey connector.
A 10m 4mm² FlexoLink cable is also available as a shorter standard option. The extension cable is sold separately and is not included with the FlexoSun 260W.
