- Recharge after use. Never store the unit deeply discharged.
Charging the Lithium2400
AC mains
Fastest method, up to 1800W from a 230V 50Hz pure sine wave supply. The unit can stay connected to mains; it manages charging automatically and works as a UPS.
Solar
Two independent MPPT controllers. XT60-1 accepts solar only (up to 1200W); XT60-2 accepts solar or DriveCharge (up to 800W). Combined solar is capped at 1800W. Compatible third-party panels may be used within the input specification; FlexoSun panels are recommended.
DriveCharge (vehicle alternator)
DriveCharge is built in, so no separate DC-DC charger or FlexoDrive unit is needed for the Lithium2400.
- Install two 16mm² cables from the starter battery terminals to the Lithium2400, with a 40A inline fuse within 400mm of the battery positive terminal. Installation must be done by a competent fitment specialist.
- Connect the DriveCharge cable to the XT60-2 input.
- Start the engine. Charging begins automatically at up to 30A.
- When the engine stops, DriveCharge disconnects automatically. No ignition wire or manual switching required.
Solar (XT60-1) and DriveCharge (XT60-2) can be used at the same time.
Pass-through
Appliances can stay connected while charging. Incoming power supplies the loads first and the remainder charges the battery.
LCD error codes
| Code | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| EA01 | Inverter communication error | Restart the unit. |
| EA02 | Battery over-voltage | Stop charging and restart. |
| EA03 | Battery under-voltage | Recharge the unit. |
| EA04 | Inverter over-temperature | Clear the vents; resumes after cooling. |
| EA05 | Grid voltage abnormal | Check AC supply voltage, then restart. |
| EA06 | Grid frequency abnormal | Check supply is 50Hz, then restart. |
| EA07 | Output voltage abnormal | Restart the unit. |
| EA08 | AC output short circuit | Disconnect equipment, clear the short, restart. |
| EA09 | AC output overload | Reduce the load and restart. |
| EA10 | Inverter fault | Restart the unit. |
| EA11 | PV over-voltage | Disconnect panels; check PV voltage is within 12–75V. |
| EA12 | PV over-current | Disconnect panels; check the PV installation. |
| Ed01 / Ed02 / Ed03 | DC over-current | Reduce DC and USB load. |
| Ed05 / Ed06 | DC short circuit | Remove the load, clear the short, restart. |
| Ed07 / Ed08 | DC over-temperature | Clear the vents; resumes after cooling. |
| Ed11 | MPPT communication error / input over-voltage | Disconnect the source, check input voltage, reconnect. |
| Ed12 | MPPT over-temperature | Disconnect the source; let the unit cool. |
| Ed13 | MPPT input over-voltage | Disconnect the source, check DC input voltage, reconnect. |
| H-1 | Charging over-temperature | Resumes automatically once cooled. |
| H-2 | Discharging over-temperature | Resumes automatically once cooled. |
| L-1 | Charging under-temperature | Resumes automatically once warmer. |
If a fault persists: record the code, disconnect all loads, restart. If it continues, stop using the unit and contact Flexopower with the code and serial number.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Likely cause | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Unit won't switch on | Battery discharged | Recharge with the AC charger. |
| No AC / DC / USB power | Output group not enabled | Press the AC, DC or USB button. |
| Solar not charging | Connection or too little sun | Check polarity, wiring and panel angle. |
| Vehicle charging not working | Installation or engine off | Check the installation; run the engine. |
| Fans running constantly | Heavy load or heat | Normal. Keep vents clear. |
| Unexpected shutdown | Battery protection | Recharge and restart. |
| AC switches off | Overload or short | Reduce load, restart AC output. |
| Charging stops | Battery temperature out of range | Let the unit return to 0–45°C. |
| Battery % jumps | Heavy load or calibration | Do one full discharge/recharge cycle. |
| Appliance won't start | Starting current too high | Reduce load or use a lower-surge appliance. |
Storage and battery care
- Up to 3 months: switch all outputs off, disconnect everything, store indoors at ≥50% charge.
- Over 3 months: store at about 50% charge, 10–30°C, and top up to 50% every three months.
- Never store deeply discharged, even for a few days. The BMS draws a small standby current and can take the battery below safe voltage. This damage is not covered by warranty.
- Turn AC off when not needed; the inverter draws power while enabled.
- Keep vents clear and connectors clean and dry.
Frequently asked questions
Can I leave the Lithium2400 connected to AC power?
Yes. It manages charging automatically and acts as a UPS, switching to battery in under 10ms if mains fails.
Do I need a DC-DC charger to charge from my vehicle?
No. DriveCharge is built in and charges from the alternator via XT60-2 at up to 30A. Installation by a fitment specialist is required.
Can I use solar and DriveCharge at the same time?
Yes. Solar on XT60-1 and DriveCharge on XT60-2 work simultaneously, within the input limits.
Can I use third-party solar panels?
Yes, if they meet the input specification (12–75V DC). FlexoSun panels are recommended.
Can I replace the battery?
Yes, by Flexopower or an authorised service centre using genuine Flexopower batteries.
Can I run a fridge or freezer?
Yes, if its running and starting power are within the inverter rating.
Can I use it while it's charging?
Yes. Pass-through operation powers your appliances while charging.
Can I use it indoors?
Yes, in a dry, clean and well-ventilated space.
Why are the fans running?
They regulate temperature during charging and heavy loads. This is normal.
Does it have Bluetooth or WiFi?
Not in this version. The LCD icons are reserved for future versions.
Warranty
2 years from the original purchase date, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Proof of purchase required. Do not open the enclosure; opening it, misuse, operation outside the published specifications, water ingress and physical damage are excluded. Full terms are in the Owner's Manual (PDF).
