Compact, light, charges quickly, great quality.
It works as advertised. The product is well designed and reliable. Using Tuya for remote control from a cellphone is however dependent on the quirks of Tuya where the Power station is reported offline when it is not. After a few attempts it does connect. It could always be controlled by the front panel buttons. It was a pleasure to use the Power Pack during a 17 day tour recently.
I unfortunately had it at the R6000 price and only entered next day so missed the R500 off. Sad moment. It handles a 600 watt travel kettle. The two pin plug didn’t seem to fit, then i tried with a couple of other plugs and it went in, so just stiff when new. The case doesn’t feel like aluminium, is this correct? Also thought Flexopower products were made in SA, not China. . bit disappointing (that’;s why i went for this). The cover at back for input power is very irritating, rather just remove. You cant see whats happening without lifting to head hight or going down so you can see below cover. My 100 watt portable panel was only giving me max 44 watts (this could be as it is the only panel i have seen with its own smart controller as part of panel- perhaps reading between the mppt and the controller is affecting it). Either way would suggest 200 watts for charging from solar. Otherwise all good.
