The Phocos EcoTherm 14A is an excellent choice for use with the Flexopower FlexoSun 165W solar panel in a compatible 12V lead-acid battery system. The combination provides a compact and practical solar charging solution for camping, caravanning, 4x4 vehicles, remote installations and other mobile applications.

Battery Compatibility

The EcoTherm 14A is designed specifically for 12V lead-acid battery systems, including GEL, AGM and Flooded lead-acid.

Important: The EcoTherm 14A is not designed for LiFePO4 batteries. For lithium battery systems, use a solar charge controller specifically configured and approved for LiFePO4 charging, such as a suitable Flexopower MPPT controller.

Installation Notes

1. Use only with a 12V lead-acid battery system.
2. Ensure the solar panel's maximum open-circuit voltage (Voc) does not exceed 30V.
3. Connect the battery and solar panel according to the manufacturer's installation instructions.
4. Use appropriately sized cables and suitable system protection.
5. Ensure the controller is installed in accordance with the manufacturer's environmental and mounting requirements.

Important: The IP68 protection rating applies to the controller casing. The electrical contacts are rated IP21.
