KAROO-230 TEFLON (ETFE) PORTABLE SOLAR PANEL BY FLEXOPOWER
INNOVATION, QUALITY, AND PERFORMANCE AT AN ATTRACTIVE PRICE
THE NEW COMPACT WORKHORSE FROM FLEXOPOWER: KAROO230W
The KAROO230W folds up to the size of a phone book, making it easy to fit into any vehicle or trailer.
Built with Flexopower's winning formula: shingled solar cell technology encapsulated in Teflon.
The modules are encapsulated in Teflon (ETFE). This is the optimal encapsulation for portable solar panels. Flexopower exclusively utilizes Neoflon from Daikin (Japan).
Shingled solar cell technology. Shingled solar cells produce more power per square meter and are more resilient to partial shading losses.
- Shingled solar cells are connected in groups and configured in parallel, greatly reducing losses from partial shading (other panels typically have their cells wired in series, causing significant losses if part of the panel is shaded).
- Shingled solar cells minimize the spacing between individual cells and eliminate the silver metal strips that typically run across traditional panels, which reduces the overall footprint of the panel. Smaller panel = less packing space.
- What is shingled solar cell technology? Read our blog.
- Securing solar panels: Fabric loops allow securing.
- Quality assurance: each solar panel is assigned a unique serial number, which allows it to be traced throughout the entire manufacturing and quality control process.
- Free shipping within South Africa
- 2-year warranty
- Designed by Flexopower and other people with clever brains

The best buy for your overlanding vehicle.
I purchased the set for our visit to Kruger. My father opt for the steco set while i went for the flexopower thinking it was the better option. We both have identical setup. The flexopower set generated a bit more than HALF of the watt power compared to the steco set standing right next to it. We swopped the panels just to rule out trailer etc differences and found the same. I already ordered my steco set but will surely leave a review as i think the flexopower did not even get close. A further irritation was that i had to manufacture stands to keep the panels upright and facing the same as the steco set. Not at all impressed or happy.
Very happy.
Haven't really used the panel yet but the quality looks amazing!
I orders my solar panel on the weekend and received it the first working day after. that is excellent service thank you
